About the founders

Tagua Ltd was established by husband and wife partnership, Winston and Erzsëbet, fulfilling a lifelong aspiration to break free from the norm and pursue their passions.

Both born in Cheshire, United Kingdom, and having a deep-rooted connection to the Cheshire countryside, they continue to reside there with their teenage son, pet family, and a love and passion for nature.

Together for many years, these lifelong soulmates are spiritual and earthy. Their honeymoon at the Glastonbury Festival in the late 1990s reflects their spiritual journey together and their bond with the Earth.

It was the allure and beauty of tagua's uniqueness and sustainability which inspired them to pursue it as a basis for a family business venture, and which they continue to grow and develop, promoting tagua to the forefront in sustainable, eco-friendly, and fairtrade jewellery and gifts.

Our autism connection

Thank you for finding us! One of the main reasons for us pursuing a family business venture was to enable a safe, and inclusive career for our teenage son, who at the age of six was diagnosed as autistic.

The challenges that he faces in the normal world can be difficult for him, and so the formation of Tagua was our way of enabling him to be part of something, enjoy and feel rewarded in his involvement, and more importantly, give him a safe career space with the ones that matter most.

More remarkably in our journey, we discovered when we engaged working with our manufacturer, that their origins in tagua also originated from a strong connection to autism - it really is a small and beautiful world!

Their original puzzle piece bracelet (pictured), was the start of their journey, and so we are proud to be able to provide this to you here to help promote global awareness of autism. Thank you.
